Bose revives wired earbuds

Bose announced its first wired earbuds since discontinuing the option in 2015. The new Bose Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds eliminate battery anxiety and the need to charge every few days.
Ninety nine dollars, three colors
The earbuds are available for preorder today through Bose's online store for ninety nine dollars in three color options: black, white smoke, and a limited edition green shade called dewdrop mint.
Shipping dates differ slightly
A release from Bose says the earbuds are expected to start shipping on October fifteenth, but Bose's online store says October thirteenth. The discrepancy remains unresolved.
Active noise canceling with modes

Two microphones on each earbud work with Bose's QuietControl technology to deliver active noise canceling. Quiet Mode reduces sound intensity, Aware Mode boosts it, and you can turn ANC off entirely using the inline remote.
USB-C connection and water resistance
The four point two foot cable ends in USB-C for connecting to smartphones and laptops with support for lossless audio. The earbuds carry an IPX4 rating for water resistance, surviving sweat, rain, and splashes but not full submersion.
Accessories included in the box
A zippered carrying case comes with the earbuds along with three sizes of silicone eartips and two sizes of stability wings for a more secure fit during physical activities.
