Surface Mouse gets major upgrade

Microsoft is launching a second generation Surface Mouse with haptic feedback and a customizable action button designed for Copilot access.
Haptic feedback adds tactile response
The mouse delivers subtle physical vibrations when you click, drag, or align objects, making interactions feel more tangible across Windows 11 and apps like PowerPoint and Filmora.
“It is subtle by design, but noticeable within seconds, and hard to give up once you have it.”
First redesign since 2016
The original Surface Mouse launched a decade ago without updates. The new version features a soft-touch material and Bluetooth 6.0 to pair with up to three devices.
Haptic support still rare in hardware

Microsoft added haptic feedback support to Windows 11 earlier this year, but only Microsoft and Logitech have released dedicated hardware so far, including Logitech's MX Master 4.
Pricing and availability
The Surface Mouse launches October 13th at $79.99 in black and platinum, the same day as Microsoft's refreshed Surface Pro 12-inch and Surface Laptop 13-inch.
