Spotify Podcast Memberships

Spotify is launching Memberships, a subscription feature first announced in May, in thirty four regions today. Podcast creators can offer fans exclusive content, early access, bonus episodes, and reduced ads behind a paywall.

Creators keep ninety percent of revenue

Podcast creators can set their own pricing across multiple subscription tiers. Spotify keeps ten percent of membership revenue. Creators also get tools to analyze their audience, run targeted promotions, and offer free trials.

How it differs from past features

Memberships works like Patreon, letting fans voluntarily support creators. It is separate from the podcast subscription feature Spotify introduced in twenty twenty one. Creators can use Memberships alongside ads and the Spotify Partner Program.
