Two new wireless mice arrive

SteelSeries launches the ergonomic Rival Pro and ambidextrous Sensei Pro on October 13th for one hundred seventy-nine dollars ninety-nine cents each, with mini versions also available at the same price.
Incredibly lightweight design

Each mouse weighs fifty-three grams in black and fifty-four grams in white. The mini versions weigh four grams less than their standard counterparts.
Swappable batteries last hours

Circular batteries unlock and lock in place in the mouse and base station. Each battery lasts sixteen hours at eight thousand hertz polling rate or sixty hours at one thousand hertz polling rate.
Ultra-wideband replaces standard wireless
The mice use ultra-wideband between six point four gigahertz and nine point zero five six gigahertz instead of two point four gigahertz. SteelSeries says this provides twenty times the bandwidth and lower latency than standard wireless.
New software features debut
The GG companion app adds SuperSync, which decouples click and sensor polling to reduce CPU burden, and Smart DPI, which automatically adjusts sensitivity between gameplay and menus. The app is now available as a web version in Chrome or Edge.
Preorders open now

The Rival Pro and Sensei Pro are available to preorder now, with shopping beginning October 13th. SteelSeries positions swappable batteries and ultra-wideband as improvements before exploring haptics-based mice.
The bottom line
SteelSeries released two new wireless gaming mice with swappable batteries and ultra-wideband connectivity, launching October 13th at one hundred seventy-nine dollars ninety-nine cents each.
