A range week for gold, traded from the edges
One trader's plan for XAUUSD this week: fade the highs, buy the lows, and let the levels do the deciding.
In brief
One trader's plan for XAUUSD this week: fade the highs, buy the lows, and let the levels do the deciding. In a range, the edges are the trade. Waiting for price to reach a marked zone beats chasing the middle. Originally reported by TradingView.
Gold, sideways for now

The call on XAUUSD is a ranging week rather than a trending one. No breakout expected, just price working between known boundaries.
“I expect the market to range this week”
Sell the upper edge

The main bias is short. Highs get faded at pre-marked levels instead of shorting into strength wherever it appears.
“we will primarily look for sell opportunities at the designated levels”
Buy the lower zones

Longs are the secondary play, taken only from the bottom of the range. The bias is directional, the plan is two-sided.
“while also seeking buy opportunities from the lower zones”
Zones, not hunches
Entries are tied to levels drawn before the week starts. If price never reaches a zone, there is no trade to take.
“We will execute trades based on the identified zones”
Tagged long, played both ways
The idea is published with a Long label, but the execution leans short first. The bias tag and the actual plan are not the same thing.
Not advice, just a view
TradingView states plainly that posted ideas are not financial or trading recommendations. This is one trader's map, not a signal to copy.
“are not meant to be, and do not constitute, financial, investment, trading, or other types of advice”
The essence
In a range, the edges are the trade. Waiting for price to reach a marked zone beats chasing the middle.
