In brief
A protection order kept her 500 feet away. She drove onto the lawn with her 5-year-old in the car. A civil protection order is only as strong as the people willing to enforce it, and daycare staff are the first line. Originally reported by Valleynewslive.
She pushed past the staff

Green Township police say Jodi Littlefield, 34, forced her way into Arches Oak Hills Childcare on Thursday and took her 5-year-old son.
Across the lawn, gone
Employees told her not to come in. She grabbed the boy anyway, then sped over the lawn in her vehicle while bystanders tried to stop her.
500 feet, by court order
A domestic violence civil protection order had already ruled her a danger to the child. She was allowed only strict, limited contact.
Spotted near Mount Adams
Officers put out a countywide alert. About an hour later, Cincinnati police found her car.
She would not pull over
Littlefield refused to stop at first. When she did, officers used a Taser on her before making the arrest.
The boy is safe
He was found unharmed and returned to his father. She faces felony abduction, burglary and child endangerment across two jurisdictions.
The bottom line
A civil protection order is only as strong as the people willing to enforce it, and daycare staff are the first line.
