Sixth victim connected to Oregon suspect

Jesse Calhoun is now facing a first-degree manslaughter charge in the death of Elizabeth Gibson, a 32-year-old Portland woman killed on November 18, 2022. Her remains have not been recovered.
Evidence gathered recently
Gibson was reported missing in March 2023, but investigators only recently gathered enough evidence to connect Calhoun to her death despite being aware of her disappearance early in the investigation.
Five other victims identified

Calhoun faces second-degree murder and abuse of a corpse charges in the deaths of Ashley Real, Kristin Smith, Charity Lynn Perry, Joanna Speaks, and Bridget Leanne Webster. Their bodies were found in rural and wooded areas across northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.
Bodies found over 15 months
The five victims' remains were discovered between late 2022 and mid-2023 in rural and wooded locations across northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.
Family seeks justice for Gibson
Gibson's siblings said they are grateful for law enforcement's work and described her as kind, creative, and silly. Her childhood friend called her a true light in the world.
“She was a true light in this world. To hear that she's never coming back ... it's just really heartbreaking.”
Arraignment scheduled for Monday

Calhoun is scheduled for arraignment on the latest manslaughter indictment on Monday, with trial expected at a later date.
