Trump Ocean Proposal

President Trump suggested renaming the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean as 'Trump Ocean' or 'Ocean of Americans' before leaving office.

“We could call it Trump Ocean or Ocean of the Americans. Something like that ... We have to. We should have before I get out”

Past Renaming Efforts

Last year, Trump renamed the Gulf of Mexico as the Gulf of America and Lake Ontario as Lake America.

Rivers Unchanged

Trump said he would not rename the Hudson River or Mississippi River, calling the Hudson 'a good job' by Henry Hudson.

“He did a good job of setting up that sucker a long time ago”
