The MAGA case for victory

Conservative radio host John Fredericks, a longtime Trump supporter, believes Republicans can win the midterms despite polls suggesting a blue wave. He argues the GOP can pull off an upset if voters turn out.
The final argument: stay the course
Fredericks says the economy's fundamentals are phenomenal. Consumer spending is up at record levels, jobs are up, wages are up. People spend money when they think things will go well in the future.
“Stay the course. Things are improving. The underpinnings of the economy are phenomenal.”
But voters feel the pain
Fredericks acknowledges people are upset about gas, groceries, utilities, and the cost of living. These are real problems. But he argues Trump voters will be patient enough to wait things out.
The Iran decision

Fredericks says Trump had to act on Iran after five decades because intelligence showed they were close to deploying a bomb on a ballistic missile.Without intervention, oil could have hit four hundred dollars a barrel.
The affordability gap
The last inflation report before the election showed consumer prices up three point seven percent year to year. Gas hovers at about four dollars nationally. The administration promised to lower prices but has not delivered.
Fredericks concedes the cost
If affordability was not an issue, Republicans would win in a landslide, Fredericks admits. Things are too expensive. The Iran decision will cost the party seats. But he still thinks Republicans can hang on.
“If affordability was not an issue, the Republicans would win this election in a landslide.”
The MAGA base is solid
Fredericks rejects claims the MAGA base is crumbling, calling them right-wing clickbait. Trump voters will turn out and give the president the benefit of the doubt. This is a turnout election.
“The argument that the MAGA base is crumbling is coming from right-wing clickbaiters.”
Trump as the closer
Fredericks says Trump is a closer capable of stepping in at the last minute and firing up supporters. Polls are fake, he argues. Republicans are winning the fall, and patience will drive the outcome.
“Trump is a closer.”
What success looks like
Fredericks defines Republican success as holding both the Senate and the House.Anything else is a failure. He predicts Republicans will gain two seats in the US Senate, a claim he says no one else is making.
“Holding the Senate and holding the House. Anything else is a failure.”
The bellwether: Hampton Roads
Fredericks identifies Virginia's Second District as the key early indicator. Jen Kiggans faces Democrat Elaine Luria. The seat has flipped back and forth since Obama. Results should be clear by nine fifteen pm.
Two more races to watch
Rob Wittman in Virginia's First District is another bellwether. If he wins, it is a good sign for Republicans. Brian Fitzpatrick in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, a moderate Republican outside Philadelphia, faces his toughest challenge.
The House prediction
If Kiggans, Wittman, and Fitzpatrick all win, Fredericks predicts Republicans will hold the House. These three races will signal whether the party can overcome affordability concerns and maintain control.
“If those three candidates win, the Republicans are gonna hold the House.”
Here's the gist
Conservative radio host John Fredericks says Republicans can win the midterms if MAGA voters stay loyal despite real affordability problems and an Iran conflict he says will cost them seats.
