PS5 rarely goes on sale
The PlayStation 5 console itself doesn't get discounted often, but there are multiple ways to save money across the PlayStation ecosystem on games, accessories, and services.
PlayStation Visa card earns cash back
Sign up for the PlayStation Visa Credit Card and spend $500 within 60 days to get $100 back as a statement credit. The card has no annual fees and offers 5% back in points at PlayStation and Sony stores.
PlayStation Plus unlocks exclusive deals
PlayStation Plus membership starts at $11 per month and gives you access to exclusive discounts on games that change monthly. Members can get up to 30% off PS5 and PS4 titles.
“PlayStation Plus members can receive up to an additional 30% off on both PS5 and PS4 titles”
PlayStation Plus tiers offer freebies
The Essential tier and higher tiers include exclusive add-ons, in-game items, and content packs for popular games. You also get access to classic games, online multiplayer, cloud storage, and shareplay.
Gift cards stack up savings
PlayStation gift cards can be used for digital products on the PlayStation Store. You can accumulate gift card balance and apply it toward eligible items to save up to $100.

Refurbished PS5s offer real discounts
Sony's certified refurbished program offers PS5 consoles that undergo rigorous recertification and work like new. You can save up to $100 on models like the PS5 Digital Edition or PS5 Slim.
“These models undergo a rigorous recertification process to ensure they function as well as a brand-new PlayStation”
PS5 games rarely discount elsewhere
Major PS5 games like Baldur's Gate 3 and Alan Wake II typically stay at full price of $60 to $70. PlayStation Plus membership offers the most reliable way to find game discounts.
VR2 headset gets 25% off
The PlayStation VR2 headset is priced at $400 but currently discounted to $300 at PlayStation Store and Best Buy. The PC adapter costs $60 separately.
New releases this month
