Novva buys Argentine renewable portfolio
Singapore-based Novva Group signed a binding agreement to acquire 3.17 gigawatts of renewable energy projects in Argentina from Germany-based ABO Energy.
“Securing this 3.17GW portfolio marks a decisive leap in our Latin America pipeline.”
Deal signed in Paris by both CEOs
ABO Energy managing director Karsten Schlageter and Novva founder and CEO Steven Liu signed the agreement in Paris.
Projects still in development stage

The Argentine portfolio includes renewable energy projects currently in development, with formal completion expected in coming months after due diligence.
Builds on Colombia solar success
This follows Novva's earlier acquisition of three solar projects in Colombia with combined capacity of approximately 40 megawatts from the same seller.
Powering AI data centre expansion
Novva is assembling renewable energy assets to power AI data centres and infrastructure across Latin America as computing demand surges.
“As computing demand reshapes global energy requirements, assembling high-quality wind and solar assets at scale delivers the certainty and bankability the AI economy demands.”
ABO Energy refocuses on core markets
ABO Energy is selling development-stage assets to focus on core markets, continuing its successful collaboration with Novva after selling a 4.4GW wind portfolio to Fortum in December 2025.
“The upcoming transaction is in line with our strategy of focusing on core markets.”
