## The name problem
Obsbot spent the Tiny name on its gimbal webcams, which is awkward, because the $119 Meet Flip is smaller than every one of them.

> It's a shame Obsbot already used the Tiny name for its gimbal-mounted webcam line
## What it trades away
There is no motorized pan and tilt here. In exchange you get a matchbook-sized camera you can drop in a bag or a pocket without thinking about it.
## Editors' Choice anyway
Bright, sharp 4K video and very clear audio out of a body this size earned it PCMag's Editors' Choice for best ultra-portable webcam.

> Its diminutive form belies its excellent performance
## A fifth the size
Folded, it measures 0.7 by 1.6 by 1.6 inches. That is a fifth the volume of the $99 Tiny SE and a quarter that of the $199 Tiny 3 Lite.
## Looks like a clip
The flat profile is mostly a wide hinged jaw with a lip for hooking over a laptop or monitor. It reads as an accessory that holds a webcam, not the webcam itself.

> it looks less like a webcam and more like a clip meant to hold one
## Change pocket small
The reviewer calls it the first webcam thin enough to fit in the change pocket of a pair of jeans. That is the whole pitch in one sentence.

> the first webcam I've seen that's genuinely small and thin enough to fit into the change pocket of a pair of jeans
## The jaw actually grips
A stiff hinge and rubberized inner panels hold the top of a monitor properly, so it does not slide off mid-call.
## Light enough for thin laptops
At 1.33 ounces it perches on the flimsiest lids, against 2.22 ounces for the Tiny 3 and 2.58 for the Tiny 3 Lite.
## Tripod mount underneath
The bottom of the jaw has a screw mount, so you can put it on a tripod instead of balancing it on a screen.
## Hidden until you need it
Closed, the only tell is a USB-C port on the back. Everything else looks like a blank clip.

> the only hint that the Meet Flip isn't just a clip for another webcam is the USB-C port on the back
## Flip up to shoot
Raising the front module reveals a 0.4-by-0.5-by-1.6-inch block holding the lens, the microphone grille and the indicator LED.
## Who it is for
Anyone who works from hotel rooms and cafes. Give up tracking, keep 4K, and stop carrying a webcam that needs its own pouch.
## Key takeaway

If you want good video on the road, the Meet Flip gives up pan-and-tilt and loses almost nothing else.
