## A bull down in E3
A Fargo hunter harvested a bull elk in unit E3 in Billings County, North Dakota, according to ND Big Game Showcase.
## Meet Austin Streifel
The hunter is Austin Streifel, 27, of Fargo. He made the shot on Friday in the western North Dakota unit.
## One rifle, one Friday
Streifel used a Seekins 7mm PRC, a flat-shooting cartridge built for long shots across open country.
## Green score: 394
Streifel said the elk's green score came in at 394. Green means measured fresh, before the required drying period that sets an official number.

> He said the elk's green score was 394.
## His dad was there
The Facebook post says the hunt was shared with friends and his father, which is the part hunters tend to remember longest.

> The hunt was an experience shared with friends and his father.
## The photos that followed
Images from the post show Streifel holding the elk by its antlers, posing with the group, and the animal on its own.
## Key takeaway
