## A traffic stop he refused
Around 11 p.m. Tuesday, Richardson police tried to pull over a man wanted in a narcotics investigation. He would not stop, and a brief chase followed.
## Into a stranger's backyard
Stotts eventually stopped his vehicle and ran into the backyard of a home in the 100 block of West Shore Place, then barricaded himself inside a shed.
## SWAT takes him at 1 a.m.
SWAT officers took 45-year-old Clayton Stotts into custody about two hours after the pursuit began. Nobody was reported hurt.
## Two charges, drugs on both
Stotts faces charges of evading arrest and manufacturing or delivering a controlled substance. Police said they found narcotics on him and in his vehicle.
## A neighbor with squirrels
Sandy Romo was up doing midnight feedings for her wildlife rescue when her kids heard the sirens. Her video showed more than a dozen police vehicles filling the cul-de-sac.

> there was a car speeding really fast with police chasing them in front of our house
## She sent a cheesecake
Grateful for how fast police moved, Romo dropped off a signature cheesecake from her catering business at the department Wednesday afternoon. The investigation continues.
## Key takeaway
