## A vessel hit at night
UKMTO reported that a ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz was struck late Saturday by an unknown projectile. A fire broke out and local authorities helped evacuate the crew.
## Iran says talks are futile
Ebrahim Azizi, who heads the Iranian parliament's national security committee, ruled out any return to the table until Tehran's conditions are met.

> No negotiations. Until Iran's terms are met, talks are futile.
## But Tehran courts its neighbours
Iranian and Gulf officials were set to meet in Muscat on Monday to sign a deal for an Iran-Oman shipping route through the Strait. Nothing similar is happening with Washington.
## Pezeshkian will not yield
At the BRICS summit in New Delhi, Iran's president said the country has stood against both Israel and the U.S. and will not surrender.

> Since we are seeking truth and justice, we will not yield in front of bullying arrogance.
## Trump has no regrets
The U.S. president said Iran would have wiped out Israel and struck American cities without his military action. Asked if he would repeat it, he said he would do exactly the same.

> If I had it to do again, I would do exactly what I did.
## Tit-for-tat on the water
CENTCOM said it destroyed 10 Iranian tankers in a single week, and that it has redirected 100 commercial vessels in the 60 days since the blockade resumed.

> ZERO ships have passed through the blockade without U.S. forces allowing.
## Oil above $100
Brent settled down 2.8% at $104.61 after peaking near $108, and WTI closed at $100.05. Both still posted sharp weekly gains on the unrest.
## The bypass shut down too
Saudi Arabia had been routing crude around the Strait through its East-West pipeline, then closed it after drones launched from Iraq hit the Riyadh and Medina sections, causing fires and injuries.
## A deadline tied to the midterms
Trump predicted the war in Iran would end shortly after November's vote, and that oil would fall fast once it does. Traffic through the Strait has been a trickle since Feb. 28.

> I would say shortly, and oil will come tumbling down when that happens.
## Key takeaway

The Strait of Hormuz is now a shooting gallery with no diplomatic exit in sight, and oil above $100 is the price tag.
