## Donald returns after three years
The Rams' legendary defensive tackle played his first game in almost three years on Monday night against the Giants. His comeback performance falls between Mario Lemieux's legendary hockey return and Michael Jordan's basketball debut.
## Impressive snap metrics
Donald played 32 snaps with a 0.75-second get-off on pass-rush attempts, the third-fastest for a defensive tackle this season. He recorded one pressure and never went without at least one pressure in a game.
## Dominant run defense display
Donald recorded three tackles including a tackle for loss while being double-teamed multiple times. His biggest play came late in the first half when he stopped Najee Harris for a 3-yard loss on third-and-2 near the goal line.
## Impact beyond the stat sheet
Donald's presence forced the Giants to account for him constantly and attracted double-teams that freed up his teammates. The Rams strategically rotated him to manage his workload while maximizing his effectiveness.

## A- grade for the comeback
Donald earned an A-minus for his performance. A full A would have required a sack or multiple splash plays, but his goal-line stop and overall defensive impact sealed the high grade.
## Room to grow this season
Donald's usage and production are expected to increase as the season progresses. His ability to deliver quality snaps and create multiple problems for opposing offenses is why the Rams brought him out of retirement.
## Key takeaway

Aaron Donald proved he can still be a dominant force despite his age and time off, delivering quality snaps and creating problems for opposing offenses whenever he's on the field.
