## Android finally gets real video editing
Adobe Premiere is now available free on Android, filling a gap Apple closed years ago with iMovie. It replaces the retiring Premiere Rush app with far more power.

> Video editing has never been Android's strong suit.
## Import unlimited tracks and export 4K
You can add as many video tracks as you want, trim, split, add effects, extract audio, reduce noise, and export up to 4K resolution. The app defaults to YouTube Shorts format but supports other aspect ratios.
## Foldable phones get optimized layouts
On standard phones, the timeline sits at the bottom with preview on top. Foldable devices get the timeline on the right side for more space, and layouts are adjustable.
## Performance is solid on most phones
A three-minute 4K60 video exported in high-quality mode took about three minutes on a Pixel. The app requires at least 5GB of RAM and handles high-bitrate clips without crashing.
## AI tools cost extra, but editing is free
The app is completely free without a subscription. AI features like image-to-video and text-to-video require credits. You get 250 monthly credits free, or pay $8 per month for 1,200 credits.
## Key takeaway

Android users can now edit videos with professional-grade tools on their phones without paying anything, unless they want AI features.
