## Adobe Premiere comes to Android
Nearly a year after launching on iPhone, Adobe's redesigned Premiere video editor is now available on Android as the official successor to Premiere Rush, which stops being supported September 30.
## Built for Android, not just ported
Adobe optimized Premiere for Android's ecosystem rather than simply copying the iPhone version, ensuring it works smoothly on everything from budget phones to Samsung foldables and Google Pixels.

> This is for a really broad range of Android devices.
## Foldable phones get special treatment
On folding phones, you can view footage on the left side while the multi-track timeline appears on the right, maximizing the expanded screen space for editing.
## Free to use, no subscription required
Unlike most Adobe products, Premiere on Android is completely free with no login or subscription needed to start editing. Some AI features like Generative Fill require generative credits if you exceed your monthly allotment.
## Built-in AI tools and templates
Premiere includes Enhance Audio to boost voices and reduce background noise, plus Firefly-powered features like Generative Fill and Image-to-Video. Creator templates for lifestyle, beauty, and food content help you get started quickly.
## Works on lower-power Android devices
Premiere requires 5 GB of RAM and Android 13 or later, but Adobe prioritized compatibility across a broad range of devices rather than limiting it to flagship phones.
## Key takeaway

Adobe Premiere is now free on Android with no subscription required, optimized for everything from budget phones to foldable devices.
