## A brother shot dead
Edmond police say a 15-year-old boy was fatally shot on Sept. 9. The city sits just north of Oklahoma City.
## The suspect is 11
His sibling, an 11-year-old girl, was arrested in connection with the shooting. Two children, one household, one gun.
## Arrested before dawn
Officers took her into custody just before 1 a.m. Thursday, days after the shooting itself.
## Booked for murder
She was moved to a juvenile detention facility and booked on a second-degree murder charge, according to the Edmond Police Department.
## Police speak to the family
The department framed the case less as a crime scene than as a household that lost two children in one night.

> We recognize this is a heartbreaking situation for the family involved.
## The rest stays sealed
The Oklahoma County District Attorney's Office said state law caps what it can release because of the suspect's age. Expect few answers.
## Key takeaway

A child is facing a second-degree murder charge, and Oklahoma law will keep most of what happened out of public view because of her age.
