## Szmyt's game-winning kicks
Andre Szmyt kicked his third game-winning field goal this season, helping the Browns beat the Tennessee Titans 27-24 on Sunday, Oct. 25.
## Szmyt's field goal record
Since 2000, Szmyt ranks second in Browns game-tying or go-ahead field goals in final two minutes with five, trailing Phil Dawson's ten.
## Szmyt's consistency
Over two seasons, Szmyt made 38 of 43 field goal attempts with an 88.4% completion rate and 36 of 38 extra point attempts.
## Weak contract situation
Szmyt signed a one-year $1.1 million extension this offseason despite being a key player in the 2025 season.
## Owner's comments
Browns owner Jim Haslam called Szmyt a 'cornerstone player' but the contract is weak for a player who has made as many game-winners as field goals missed.
## Contract urgency
If Szmyt enters the open market this offseason, some team will pay him a hefty sum before the Browns can secure him as a long-term cornerstone.
## Browns' kicker history
The Browns have gone through kickers since Phil Dawson left in the early 2010s, making Szmyt's value critical for team stability.
## What happens next
Browns must sign Szmyt to a long-term contract before he enters the open market to avoid losing a key player.
## Key takeaway

Cleveland Browns kicker Andre Szmyt's game-winning field goals force ownership to secure long-term contract before he enters open market.
