## Angelbird launches ultra-fast memory cards
The new AV PRO MK3 CFexpress Type A cards hit maximum read speeds of 1870MB/s and write speeds of 1850MB/s, roughly double the original Type A format's capabilities.
## Sustained speeds matter for video
The cards maintain 1700MB/s sustained read and 1600MB/s sustained write rates, the performance metric that actually matters for high-resolution video capture without dropping frames.
## Four capacity options available
Angelbird offers 200GB, 400GB, 800GB, and 1600GB versions. The entry-level 200GB model has reduced write speeds of 570MB/s peak and 500MB/s sustained.
## Dual VPG certifications ensure compatibility
All cards except the 200GB model carry both VPG400 and VPG800 certifications. VPG800 is part of the new Video Performance Guarantee Profile 5.0 released in February 2025, but doesn't replace the older VPG400 standard for backward compatibility.
## Built-in protection against failure
The cards feature advanced thermal management, Stable Stream technology for consistent performance, and protection against shock, vibration, and temperatures from 10 to 162 degrees Fahrenheit. Angelbird also offers in-house data recovery if needed.
## Pricing starts at $199.99
The 200GB model costs $199.99, with the 400GB at $399.99, 800GB at $599.99, and 1600GB at $899.99. Cards are available for pre-order now at B&H Photo.
## Key takeaway

Angelbird's new AV PRO MK3 cards offer sustained write speeds of 1600MB/s, enabling reliable 8K Raw video capture across multiple high-capacity options.
