## The hype was already there
Arch Manning has been viewed as a possible top quarterback in the 2027 NFL Draft. Texas' win over Ohio State gave that idea fresh fuel.
## The box score underwhelmed
Manning threw for 195 yards, one touchdown and one interception. On paper, it did not look like a star-making day.

> Manning's performance against the Buckeyes was nothing to write home about
## Then Texas surged late
When it mattered, Manning helped Texas score 21 unanswered fourth-quarter points. The Longhorns escaped 24-23 and moved to No. 1 in the AP Poll.
## Griffin saw resilience
Robert Griffin III praised Manning for not folding after mistakes, drops and bad breaks. He pointed to the comeback from 20 points down as the real proof.

> I was impressed with his resilience and his perseverance in the game
## A franchise trait
Griffin called it a first overall pick type of performance because franchise quarterbacks have to survive ugly stretches and keep leading.

> you need him to weather the storm
## Scouts get another look
Texas hosts UTSA next, then visits No. 15 Tennessee. Manning will have another chance to turn poise under pressure into draft momentum.
## Key takeaway

Manning's draft buzz grew because he stayed calm and led Texas back when the game looked lost.
