## Bolte's scorching August run
Since the start of August, Henry Bolte has hit .312 with seven homers and eight stolen bases. His 1.9 fWAR in that stretch ties for sixth in all of MLB.
## A future 30/30 player
Jon Morosi believes Bolte's power-speed combination makes him a potential 30/30 player. He's become one of the best rookies in baseball since August began.

> This is a potential future 30/30 player going forward.
## Forced his way to the majors
Bolte started 2025 in Triple-A Las Vegas, where he crushed 12 homers with a 1.067 OPS in just 37 games. The A's had no choice but to call him up early.
## Slow start, strong finish
After posting just a .655 OPS through July, Bolte exploded in the second half. He's now at .753 OPS with 10 homers and 20 stolen bases on the year.
## Part of an exciting young core
Bolte joins Lawrence Butler, Zack Gelof, and J.T. Ginn in Oakland's youth movement. Rookies of the Year Nick Kurtz and Jacob Wilson are currently injured.
## Contenders if healthy in 2026
With Bolte and their young stars, the A's could compete in a weak AL West next season if they stay healthy. Morosi predicts they could be genuine contenders.

> With a healthy season, even next year, you could be talking about the A's as a contender.
## Key takeaway

Henry Bolte's power-speed combination has him on track to become a potential 30/30 player and cornerstone of the A's future.
