## A very amiable night
The cast of Georgia Oakley's Sense and Sensibility took over London's Leicester Square on Tuesday night for the film's world premiere.

> They were very amiable indeed.
## Georgia Oakley's Austen
Oakley directs the latest Jane Austen adaptation from Focus Features, adding a new take to a story that has been filmed many times before.
## Two dates, two countries
It opens Sept. 25 in the U.K. and Oct. 16 in the U.S., so American fans wait three extra weeks.
## The full cast turned out
Daisy Edgar-Jones, George MacKay, Herbert Nordrum, Frank Dillane, Bodhi Rae Breathnach and Fiona Shaw all worked the media line in their finest.
## A famous surname
Esme Creed-Miles joined them on the carpet. She is the daughter of Samantha Morton, currently seen in The Odyssey.
## MacKay skipped the homework
Despite starring in the new version, George MacKay still has not watched Ang Lee's Oscar-winning 1995 adaptation.
## Key takeaway

Georgia Oakley's Sense and Sensibility premiered in London on Sept. 15, 2026, and hits UK screens Sept. 25 and US screens Oct. 16.
