## Blü Cā ribbon cutting
Baltimore Peninsula welcomed its newest tenant at a ribbon cutting Wednesday, though the splashy Jamaican-Chinese fusion restaurant won’t open to the public until later this month.
## Blü Cā opens later this month
Co-owner Di’Andra Tucker said the restaurant at 2450 Rye St. will open its doors to the public sometime later this month but declined to provide an exact date.
## Blü Cā is One Love Restaurant Group’s first Baltimore outpost
Pronounced "blue kay," Blü Cā is the first Baltimore outpost for the One Love Restaurant Group, which also owns the flight-themed KŌNŌKŌ in White Marsh and Island Spice Grille & Lounge in Harford County.
## Blü Cā’s menu draws on Jamaican history
Blü Cā’s menu takes inspiration from Jamaica, where Chinese culinary influences date back to the arrival of Chinese laborers during the mid-1800s.
## Cruise ship-themed décor
The cruise ship-themed décor is a nod to Baltimore’s own nearby cruise port, and also continues a travel theme for the One Love Restaurant Group.
## Blü Cā faces development delays
First announced in 2025 by developers MAG Partners, Blü Cā is docking at a Baltimore Peninsula that’s faced choppy waters over the past two years.
## Baltimore Peninsula sees recent activity
The surrounding area has seen a recent uptick in activity, including the opening of Urbano Mexican Fare this summer.
## Baltimore Peninsula’s momentum
Co-owner Di’Andra Tucker speaks during the ribbon cutting at Blü Cā, and Maryland Gov. Wes Moore’s commission chair Luis V. McSween presented the owners with a citation from Moore’s office.
## Key takeaway

Blü Cā, a cruise-themed Jamaican-Chinese fusion restaurant in Baltimore Peninsula, opens to the public later this month after a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
