## Bears bring back Scott Daly
Chicago is signing long snapper Scott Daly off the Saints' practice squad after he spent the last two seasons with the team.
## Why the Bears moved on
Chicago replaced Daly with rookie Beau Gardner this offseason, moving away from the veteran after two seasons together.
## Snapping problems emerge
In Sunday's loss to Minnesota, the Bears had a 23-yard field goal blocked, prompting the team to reconsider their long snapper situation.
## Daly played for Saints
Daly played for New Orleans in Week 2 without issue after the Saints' longtime long snapper Zach Wood suffered a calf injury.
## Stabilizing the position
At 32 years old, Daly returns to Chicago to stabilize the long snapper position and address the team's special teams concerns.
## Key takeaway

The Bears are replacing their rookie long snapper with a proven veteran to address operational problems mid-season.
