## Two controllers hiding in code
macOS 26.7 code references two unreleased iPhone game controllers, codenamed T6502 and T1057. MacRumors found the references; PC Mag reported them.

## Nearly a year in the works
Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says Apple has been developing the controllers for almost a year, so this is further along than a stray code string suggests.
## Beats is the surprise badge
Gurman says the controllers could ship under Beats, the headphone brand Apple bought in 2014 and has since stretched to USB-C cables and iPhone cases.
## Beats leads the build
This is not just a logo swap. Gurman claims Beats executives are running both sides of the project, which points to Beats becoming Apple's gaming accessory brand.

## Haptics set them apart
The two codenamed units carry different haptic designs on top of the usual controller features, the clearest hint so far that they are not identical twins.
## An audio twist is possible
Asus already pairs shoulder buttons with a built-in subwoofer in its ROG AeroActive Coolers. A speaker and controller hybrid is the obvious card for an audio brand to play.
## The RAM crisis opens a door
With RAM prices squeezing PCs and consoles, Gurman says Apple sees phone gaming accessories as a growing market and wants in. Everyone already owns the console.

## Key takeaway

Apple is quietly building first-party iPhone game controllers, and Beats appears to be running the design.
