## Bill Skarsgård's revenge film
Two years ago, Hammerstone production released a John Wick-style revenge action film called Boy Kills World with Bill Skarsgård as lead.
## Underseen despite praise
The film grossed just $2.6 million domestically and $3.2 million worldwide after a quiet premiere at TIFF.
## Critical acclaim
Boy Kills World earned a 7/10 from Screen Rant and a strong 72% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
## Post-apocalyptic revenge plot
The film follows a young man named 'Boy' seeking revenge on tyrant Hilda Van Der Koy after her family was killed.
## Skarsgård's training
Skarsgård spent years training and learning fight choreography for the role, with stunt coordinator Dawid Szatarski ensuring perfect action sequences.
## John Wick comparison
The film's action sequences are described as 'maximalist action-opera' with over-the-top violence that fans either love or hate.
## Future potential
Producer Alex Lebovici hopes the film becomes a cult classic midnight movie despite its low box office.
## Key takeaway

Bill Skarsgård's 2024 action film Boy Kills World earned critical praise but grossed only $2.6m domestically despite high expectations.
