## The headphones that lasted
The writer's first pair of QuietComfort headphones survived more than six years of near-daily use. That kind of lifespan is why Bose keeps showing up on recommendation lists.

## A new generation arrives
The QuietComfort Headphones (2nd Gen) are out now at Bose, Amazon and other retailers for $359, in Eucalyptus Green, Dewdrop Mint, Rosewood Mauve, White Smoke and Black.
## Sound that surrounds you
The headline change is TrueSpatial Technology, which widens the soundstage. Immersive Audio handles music and video, while Cinema Mode spatializes content but keeps dialogue centered.
## Quiet that adapts
QuietControl noise cancellation now uses updated ActiveSense Technology, adjusting how much sound it blocks while you are in Aware Mode. Six microphones sharpen calls too.
## Battery and connections
You get up to 24 hours of playback, or 18 with Immersive Audio on. A 15-minute charge buys 2.5 hours. Bluetooth 5.4 pairs two devices, and USB-C carries lossless 24-bit/48 kHz audio.
## Why it earns the money
Pill-shaped earcups, a wider sliding headband and plush cushions keep the comfort intact. Bose added new tech without losing the reason people wore the old pair for years.

## Key takeaway

At $359, the QuietComfort 2nd Gen adds TrueSpatial audio and stronger ANC while keeping the all-day comfort that made the line last for years.
