## Brian May's decision
Brian May made a decision 18 months ago not to tour again after a close family friend died in the United States.

> I made a decision 18 months ago that I didn't want to tour again.
## Family and personal reasons
May said he has a wife, grandchildren, and wants to do astrophysics, so he thinks 50 years is enough for touring.

> I have a wife, grandchildren and a lot of astrophysics I want to do, so I'm thinking maybe 50 years is enough.
## Queen's future plans
May wants to create an immersive experience using technology but has serious misgivings about AI data centers.

> I think an immersive experience is still on the cards and it could conquer time and space, but currently you can't make it without AI and I have serious misgivings about that.
## Roger Taylor's view
Roger Taylor said he loves playing live but believes Brian May's decision is the main factor in Queen's future touring plans.

> Well, it is a big machine to gear up, if you know what I mean, but really, I think it's more down to Brian than me.
## Queen's next move
Queen may explore innovative methods like immersive experiences instead of traditional touring.

> We do want to do something fairly revolutionary, not as ABBA did with digital avatars.
