## A country voice goes quiet
Country singer Brian Duckworth died Monday at his home in Clarksburg, West Virginia. He was 56. No cause of death was disclosed.
## They called him Nashville
The nickname stuck with him for years, a nod to the music that ran through his life even though his days were spent far from Music Row.
## A band of siblings
Duckworth performed in Taylor Made alongside his sister Wendy Williams and brother Greg Duckworth. Their best known song is "Things you don't grow out of."

> He loved to sing and proudly performed with his family band, Taylor Made.
## Independent artist of the year
MusicRow named Taylor Made its Independent Artist of the Year in 2012. The band opened for Miranda Lambert, Charlie Daniels and Dierks Bentley.
## The Truck Boss
Off stage he drove a dump truck for Wolfe's Excavating, where coworkers called him the Truck Boss. He loved that the job kept him outdoors.

> Whether working or relaxing, Brian was happiest surrounded by nature.
## Who he leaves behind
Duckworth is survived by Tina Scheuvront Duckworth, his wife of 15 years, along with six children and four grandchildren.

> Brian's love of family, music, and the outdoors will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
## Key takeaway

Duckworth built a real country music career with his own siblings, then kept driving a dump truck because he loved being outside.
