## Ferry dock serves only Yankees fans
The Yankee Stadium ferry dock in the Bronx currently transports only game attendees. Community leaders say this is unfair to surrounding residents who need transportation options.
## West Bronx is a transportation desert
Advocates argue the neighborhood lacks sufficient public transportation options. They want the ferry service expanded to serve all residents, not just stadium visitors.
## Rally demands multi-use ferry stop
Community organizers and local politicians gathered at the dock to push for expanded public access and greater investment in waterfront transportation throughout the area.
## Harlem waterfront greenway delayed 40 years
Advocates also demanded equal treatment along the entire Harlem waterfront, including a long-promised greenway project that residents have been fighting for over four decades.

> We want to call on the city to provide us a ferry, to provide us a multi-use stop, and to finally give us a goal that we have been fighting for, for over four decades now and that is a Harlem waterfront greenway.
## City hasn't responded to demands
A request for comment was sent to the mayor's office, but no response had been received at the time of reporting.
## Key takeaway

The West Bronx lacks adequate transportation options, and advocates want the existing ferry dock to serve the entire neighborhood, not just Yankees fans.
