## The swim that went viral
In August, Nader was photographed taking a topless swim off Sardinia during a family trip with her parents, Breaux and Holland, and her sister Sarah Jane.
## One month of silence
She let the internet argue about it for weeks before saying anything, then addressed it to Entertainment Tonight on September 10.

> I had the time of my freaking life.
## Louisiana, not Europe
Her defense wasn't about European beach norms. It was about growing up in a house full of sisters where nobody thought twice about it.

> I don't care if I'm not from Europe. I'm from Louisiana. I grew up in an all-girl household. We're always naked together as sisters.
## Dad missed the whole thing
The detail everyone fixated on was that her father was right there. According to Nader, he never clocked it and wouldn't have minded if he had.

> My dad's half blind, so he didn't even notice. He was like, 'I don't care.'
## She didn't know cameras were there
Nader says she wasn't performing for a lens. She found out the moment was documented the same way everyone else did, and decided she was fine with it.

> I was just having the time of my life and really not thinking that anyone was documenting some of it, but we love it.
## Sarah Jane's own headline
Her sister stayed quiet on the yacht story but not on Gleb Savchenko, Nader's ex, who is off Dancing With the Stars while Sarah Jane joins season 35.

> I wish him well. Glad I'm not having to deal with that awkward interaction.
## Key takeaway

Nader isn't apologizing for the swim, she's reframing it as normal for a Louisiana house full of sisters who grew up unbothered about nudity.
