## BRS leader visits blasting site
T. Harish Rao, a former minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi senior leader, visited Mallannasagar bund in Siddepet district on Thursday with villagers from Thipparam to inspect blasting operations.
## Blasting just 150 metres from bund
The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board is carrying out blasting one hundred fifty metres from the bund for laying a pipeline and constructing a pump-house, Harish Rao alleged.
## Violates irrigation safety guidelines
Guidelines for irrigation structures prohibit blasting within four hundred metres of a bund when the bund height is forty metres. Only controlled blasting with permission is allowed beyond that distance.
## Cracks appearing in nearby homes
Harish Rao alleged the blasting is threatening the reservoir bund's safety and causing cracks in houses at Thipparam village, approximately seven hundred fifty metres away from the blasting site.
## No permission from authorities
Harish Rao alleged police and revenue authorities were unaware of any permission for the blasting. The Thipparam sarpanch said he was pressured to permit it but refused.
## Part of larger conspiracy claim
Harish Rao alleged the Revanth Reddy government has conspired against Kaleshwaram Project from the beginning, and blasting near Mallannasagar is part of that conspiracy related to the Musi beautification project.
