## Bulls land Buddy Hield
Chicago trades Rob Dillingham and cash to Charlotte for Buddy Hield, a 43.7% shooter who makes 1.5 threes per game.
## Second trade for Hield
This is Hield's second trade this offseason after he was swapped from Atlanta to Charlotte for Dorian Finney-Smith.
## Why Chicago wanted him
The Bulls have young athletic forwards Caleb Wilson and Matas Buzelis. Hield's elite shooting should clear driving lanes for them to attack the basket.
## Dillingham didn't fit Chicago
Dillingham played just 30 games for the Bulls and didn't perform well. With Tre Jones and Josh Giddey at point guard, developing him as a ball-handler made no sense.
## Dillingham's future unclear
Charlotte already has 18 players under contract and can only carry 15. Dillingham may be waived, though he could develop well in the Hornets' shooting-heavy system if he makes the roster.
## Dillingham still has potential
The eighth overall pick from two years ago, Dillingham has underperformed so far but could get another chance this season somewhere in the league.
## Key takeaway

The Bulls get a proven shooter to complement their young forwards, while the Hornets take a chance on a former lottery pick who hasn't yet lived up to expectations.
