## The Angels came back
Jaclyn Smith, Kate Jackson and Cheryl Ladd stood together on stage at the 78th Primetime Emmy Awards on September 14, 2026.
## Fifty years of the show
The trio appeared to mark the 50th anniversary of Charlie's Angels, one of the defining American TV series of the late 1970s.
## They had a job to do
Beyond the reunion, the three were there to hand out the night's biggest television prize: the Emmy for best drama series.

> It's an honor to be here tonight to present the Emmy for drama series.
## The Pitt takes it
The medical drama The Pitt won best drama series, the award the Angels presented at the Peacock Theater.
## A missing fourth Angel
Jaclyn Smith stopped the presentation to name Farrah Fawcett, her friend and co-star, who died in 2009 and could not stand beside them.

> I would like to acknowledge someone not standing with us tonight, and that's my friend Farrah Fawcett.
## Charisma doesn't need a second season
Smith's line nodded to Fawcett leaving after year one, and argued that one season was enough to make her permanent.

> She's here with us in everyone's collective memory.
## Key takeaway

Fifty years after the show premiered, the surviving Angels used their Emmy stage time to keep Farrah Fawcett in the room.
