## Boat Dwelling Climbers Search
After four years of searching for a place to dock our home boat with good climbing nearby, we finally found it.
## Five-Hour Anomaly
Meaningful outdoor climbing and viable year-round dockage on the East Coast always seem to exist several hours apart.
## Geneviève Limitations
With a roughly 50-foot mast, we couldn’t travel through many inland waterways due to bridges.
## Chad’s Climbing Background
Chad had built and owned a climbing gym and developed routes across Arkansas, including at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch.
## Agatha Purchase
We bought Agatha, a 44-foot Gulfstar motor yacht, to overcome the five-hour anomaly.
## Chattanooga Detour
By taking the Chattanooga Detour up the Tennessee River, we were suddenly within reach of some of the Southeast’s best climbing.
## Gray’s Bluff DWS
We jumped from Agatha’s stern, climbed onto paddleboards, and headed toward Gray’s Bluff rock.
## Key takeaway

Chad and Olivia found Chattanooga after 2,000 nautical miles to merge boat living and climbing.
