## Wolves' season opener starts Wednesday
The Wolves' season opener begins Wednesday after exhibition days end.
## Finch's biggest challenge
Finch must find right player combinations and cross pollinations between starters and bench players to win regular season and playoffs.
## Finch faced this before
Finch took almost a full season and a trade for Mike Conley to find right player combinations after Rudy Gobert's trade.
## Randle's departure
Randle is gone; the frontcourt dropoff now exists between Gobert and second-year player Joan Beringer.
## Gobert's impact
Last season, the Wolves had a 5.5 net rating with Gobert on floor and .33 net rating with him off.
## Beringer and ball conflict
Beringer on floor may leave gap in maximizing Gobert offensively and Edwards' isolation style doesn't jive with ball-dominant bench.
## Kuminga's role
Kuminga will be a glue player with starters but needs to improve his contract performance heading into offseason.
## Lyles' potential
Lyles may see semi-consistent minutes as a high-IQ veteran with excellent off-ball movement.
## Lyles' adaptability
Lyles must find comfort in middle of games with the team's shifting dynamics.
## Finch's task ahead
Finch has a tall task balancing new players but may take less time than past seasons.
## Key takeaway

Chris Finch must find player combinations to win regular season and playoffs with new roster dynamics.
