## City found guilty of most charges
Manchester City was found guilty of the majority of one hundred fifteen charges brought by the Premier League. The club used sham contracts to disguise secret funding of more than eight hundred thirty million pounds.
## Maresca addresses returning players
Manchester City head coach Enzo Maresca addressed his squad when international players returned to training on Thursday, nine days after the Premier League published its damning report about the club.
## Manager says mood is fantastic
Maresca told players not to let the crisis affect their attitude and focus. He said the feeling among the squad is fantastic and players are excited about upcoming matches while the club sits top of the league.

> The feeling is fantastic, to be honest.
## Players focused on football, not noise
Maresca said players know what they can control is the football side and are not worried about other things. They understand the noise exists but do not care much about it and remain focused on beating Liverpool.

> They know the noise is there, but they don't care too much about the noise.
## Haaland echoes manager's message
Striker Erling Haaland, the leading scorer in the new Premier League season with five goals, said he cares deeply about Manchester City and the fans. He called for the squad to stick together and stay positive.

> We have to stick together and spread the love to each other.
## City maintains innocence and appeals
Manchester City has launched an appeal and publicly maintained its innocence. Private communication to those with links to the playing staff has been equally emphatic about the club's position on the charges.
## Rival managers avoid commenting
As Premier League football returns after a three-week break, rival clubs are keeping their managers from speaking publicly about the City verdict. Coventry boss Frank Lampard, Leeds head coach Daniel Farke and Newcastle head coach Matthias Jaissle all steered clear of lengthy comment.
## Liverpool match this weekend
Manchester City face Liverpool on Sunday at four thirty pm BST. Maresca said the squad is focused on how they can beat Liverpool and try to win at Anfield with the fans behind them.
