## Cubs riding momentum from big win
David Peterson dominated the Braves while Pete Crow-Armstrong collected four hits in MVP-caliber form. Chicago hopes to capitalize again tonight.
## Braves visit Wrigley at 6:40 CT
Atlanta (88-63) faces Chicago (84-67) at Wrigley Field. The game airs on Marquee Sports Network and 104.3 The Score.
## Taylor returns against lefty starter
Tyrone Taylor bats cleanup and starts in left field, replacing Ian Happ. He's been red-hot against southpaws in recent weeks.
## Shaw gets first start since Sept 8
Matt Shaw returns as DH after appearing in Pirates games but reaching base only once. Craig Counsell may use him more to heat up before playoffs.
## Braves trot out star-studded lineup
Ronald Acuña Jr., Matt Olson, Austin Riley, and Ozzie Albies headline Atlanta's order. Drake Baldwin catches and Brewer Hicklen plays right field.
## Gausman looking to bounce back
The Cubs' trade deadline acquisition allowed eight hits, six earned runs, and three homers in just four innings against Milwaukee last week.
## Gausman struggled vs Braves before
His last outing against Atlanta was ugly too. While with Toronto, Gausman gave up four earned runs on five hits, though he struck out six.
## Split-finger could be the key
Atlanta makes hard contact, which has plagued Gausman all year. His split-finger has a 41.9 percent whiff rate and could be his best weapon tonight.
## Perez brings solid but inconsistent stuff
Martin Perez has a 3.08 ERA in 28 games but walks batters in double digits. He's been pulled early plenty of times this season.
## Perez just threw seven scoreless
The lefty blanked Tampa Bay for 7.0 innings in his last start. When his offspeed pitches work, he generates ground balls and limits extra-base hits.
## Which Perez shows up tonight
The big question is whether the Cubs will hit soft contact into his hands or force Atlanta's bullpen into the game early.

> Will the Cubs feed right into his hands with soft contact, or can they manage to get Walt Weiss to the mound early?
## Key takeaway

The Cubs are making platoon adjustments against Atlanta's lefty starter while hoping Gausman can rebound from allowing six runs and three homers.
