## Prescott's blunt assessment
Dak Prescott says Dallas Cowboys have not established a proud offensive identity after eight games.

> Is it one we're proud of? I don't know
## Offensive metrics decline
Cowboys' play-action rate dropped from 28.2% to 24.2% and under-center rate from 38.4% to 35.7% since 2025.
## Schottenheimer-Prescott disconnect
Coach believes motion complicates quarterback reads while Prescott uses motion to disguise plays and create matchups.

> Sometimes, it's [motion] just to dress it up and take the defense, give them a different look of us running a core play and breaking some tendencies with a motion to get this play done
## Key takeaway

Dak Prescott states the Cowboys' offensive identity is uncertain after eight games, with declining play-action and under-center rates under coach Brian Schottenheimer.
