## The shooting
Dallas police need help tracking down the drive-by shooter who injured five people and killed a young mother at an Oak Cliff apartment complex known as The Pinks.
## What happened
The shooting occurred on Sept 12 at Estelle Village Apartments where a maroon Dodge Charger opened fire, striking six people with over 60 shots.
## Who was killed
25-year-old Zariea Brown, a single mother with a young daughter, died in the shooting.
## Police belief
Dallas police believe the shooting was gang-related and targeted a young gangster wannabe, not Zariea Brown.
## What police know
Police have video of the maroon Dodge Charger and suspect but cannot identify the shooter due to obscured faces.
## How to help
Tipsters can contact Det. Billings at 214-283-4805 or email brewster.billings@dallaspolice.gov to identify the shooter.
## Key takeaway

Dallas police believe a gang-related drive-by shooting targeted a young gangster wannabe, not a single mother, killing 25-year-old Zariea Brown.
