## The deal in one line

## Washington wants DJI gone
The U.S. government has spent years trying to push DJI drones out of the market, and lawmakers have made it a running fight.
## New models are blocked
Lawmakers stopped any new DJI models from getting approved in the States, so the lineup on shelves is frozen where it is.
## What you own stays legal
Drones already on the market are grandfathered in. Buying a Mini 3 today and flying it is still perfectly legal.

## The FCC went wider
The crackdown is not just drones. The FCC has also banned foreign routers and robots, part of the same push.
## Why buy now
DJI discounts outside big sale events have gotten rare. If you have been waiting on a Mini 3, 25% off is the opening.

> Discounts on DJI drones don't pop up nearly as often these days
## Key takeaway

Existing DJI drones are grandfathered in and legal, so a $104 discount on the Mini 3 is a rare window worth taking.
