## Manchester City's Goalkeeper Shift
Manchester City jettisoned their decade-long goalkeeper policy last summer after Rodri's anterior cruciate ligament injury in September 2024.
## Shot Allowance Spike
City allowed 9.34 shots per game in 2024-25, up from 7.5 in previous four seasons, with 11 shots allowed per Champions League match.
## Donnarumma's Expected Role
Donnarumma was signed to be the world's best shot-stopper, but City's new manager Enzo Maresca considers Elliot Anderson sufficient in midfield.
## Donnarumma's Performance
Donnarumma conceded six fewer goals than post-shot xG value across 56 Premier League and Champions League games this season.
## Key Errors
Donnarumma let Nicolas Jackson's shot through his gloves and got done by Desire Doue and Vitinha in PSG's win at the Etihad.
## Recent Goal
Leipzig scored a 13th goal in nine meetings with City, with Donnarumma's error allowing a 0.2 xG shot to go in.
## Conclusion
Donnarumma is merely fine at Manchester City, not the world's best shot-stopper as originally expected.
## Key takeaway

Manchester City's Gianluigi Donnarumma, signed to be the world's best shot-stopper, is now merely fine at the club.
