## Madrid gets F1 back
Formula 1 returns to Madrid this weekend after a 45-year gap, with the Spanish Grand Prix running on a track the city built from scratch.
## The Madring, explained
The new circuit mixes street sections with permanent ones. It runs 5.41 km, packs in 22 corners, and the race covers 57 laps.
## Antonelli is running away with it
Kimi Antonelli has seven wins this season and sits more than 60 points clear at the top of the drivers' standings.

## P19 to P1 at home
His latest win came in Italy, where he made 25 overtakes to climb from 19th to first in front of a home crowd that could not quite believe it.

## The chase is still on
Ten races remain. Mercedes teammate George Russell, Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton, and McLaren's Lando Norris are all close enough to reel him in.
## When the race starts
The Spanish GP runs Sunday, September 13, with lights out at 9:00 a.m. ET. Qualifying was Saturday at 10:00 a.m. ET.
## In the US, it's Apple TV
Apple holds exclusive US broadcast rights to Formula 1 through 2031. An existing Apple TV subscription covers the race at no extra charge.
## Free trials that cover it
First-time subscribers get a seven-day Apple TV trial. New Apple device buyers can redeem three months free within 90 days, and Apple One offers 30 days.
## Belgium streams it free
RTBF Auvio carries the race at no cost for viewers in Belgium. That is the cheapest legal route to the whole session.
## How the VPN route works
Subscribe to a streaming-friendly VPN like ExpressVPN, install the app, connect to a Belgian server, then open RTBF Auvio and press play.
## Two setup gotchas
If sign-up asks for a postal code, use one from the region your server sits in. Good VPNs are rarely free, but most offer trials for new users.
## Key takeaway

The race streams free on Belgium's RTBF Auvio, so a VPN set to Belgium gets you the Madrid GP at no cost.
