## French champion returns with two V12s
Fanny Gibert, a former World Cup standout and five-time French bouldering champion, has sent Scarred for Life in Switzerland and Baboon Master in France, both graded V12.
## Scarred for Life took three trips
Gibert first tried Scarred for Life in June but found the summer heat made it feel impossibly hard. She returned in August and September, finally sending it after falling twice on the final move.

> I gave a massive fight and found myself reaching this last move completely pumped.
## Baboon Master was years in the making
Gibert had worked Baboon Master years earlier but couldn't link the moves. She returned in mid-September, fell high on her first attempt, then sent it on her second try four days later.

> Leaving no chance to this beauty!
## Injury recovery drove the outdoor focus
Gibert skipped the French team selection this summer to concentrate on outdoor climbing while recovering from finger and elbow injuries. She says the decision has helped her injuries improve significantly.
## From Montpellier to climbing elite
Originally from Montpellier and raised on Reunion Island, Gibert began climbing at age 10 and became a World Cup standout, finishing third overall in 2018 and 2019.
## Key takeaway

Gibert's V12 sends show how strategic project work and injury recovery can lead to breakthrough performances outside competition.
