## New promotional schedule released
The Flyers released their 2026-27 promotional schedule Tuesday with a major hint at the long-rumored 'Hometown Remix' jerseys.
## Ten Independence Edition games
From early November through mid-March, 10 home dates are marked as 'Independence Edition' games to highlight Philadelphia and the U.S. 250th anniversary.
## Gritty's cryptic social media tease
The Flyers posted a video of Gritty breaking down the schedule, ending with him sitting above a custom Liberty Bell rug and shushing.
## The mysterious Liberty Bell rug
That bell rug appeared at the draft in June at the team's war room in Atlantic City. The design had never been featured on any Flyers materials before.
## The design was too intentional
The bell design seemed far too designed to not be something. This week's tease confirms it's likely tied to the new jerseys.

> That bell was always way too designed to not be something.
## Dark gray will be primary color
Hockey design watchdog Icethetics learned in May that dark gray will be the jersey's primary color, with Liberty Bell theming throughout.
## Bell won't be the main crest
The Flyers' primary logo will be front and center, as it has been on every sweater the team has ever worn. The bell appears in the striping pattern.

> The bell will not be the crest. Instead, the Flyers' primary logo will be front and center, as it has been on quite literally every sweater the team has ever worn.
## NHL's answer to City Connect
'Hometown Remix' is the NHL's spin on City Connect-style uniforms. Rumors and leaks for teams like the Islanders and Panthers started before last season ended.
## Official announcement came last month
The NHL officially announced 'Hometown Remix' with manufacturer Fanatics last month, promising more details after the season starts in late September.
## Flyers leaning into the hype
The Flyers only have their orange home and white road jerseys otherwise. They seem to want to lean in on the fun early with these teasers.
## Key takeaway

The Flyers will debut Liberty Bell-themed 'Hometown Remix' jerseys during 10 'Independence Edition' home games this season.
