## Former Rockstar tech director warns AI ports might push GTA 6 to PC earlier
Former Rockstar technical director Obbe Vermeij says AI-generated unofficial ports could pressure Rockstar to release GTA 6 on PC sooner than planned.

> It really has changed the world, and I think I would be concerned, if I was Rockstar, that somebody would just take the PS5 version and get AI to change it to PC
## AI ports could threaten GTA 6 PC sales
Vermeij states an unofficial port might not match Rockstar's quality but could still hurt sales, potentially forcing a quicker PC release.

> It won’t be as good as their effort, but it could still also hurt their sales
## Unofficial GTA 6 PC port would cost tens of thousands
Vermeij estimates creating an unofficial port would take hours and cost tens of thousands of dollars in tokens, but people might still try.

> It will take a long time. It actually, physically takes hours and hours and hours to do these things. And it will take a bunch of tokens and everything, so it would probably cost like, tens of thousands of dollars in tokens
## Key takeaway
