## Giants QB Options
Jameis Winston's Week 3 start against Titans could determine New York's quarterback plans after Jaxson Dart's season-ending knee injury.
## Current Roster Status
Giants have only Winston and Jake Haener on active roster with no quarterback on practice squad.
## Dart's Injury Details
Dart suffered MCL, PCL and meniscus damage requiring surgery after Week 2 knee injury against Rams.
## Top QB Options
Reportedly available: Jimmy Garoppolo, Gardner Minshew II, J.J. McCarthy, Mac Jones, Justin Fields, Brandon Allen.
## Mac Jones Analysis
49ers won't move Jones without significant return; he ranks 36th in touchdown-to-interception ratio since 2023.
## Justin Fields Analysis
Fields played under Matt Nagy but Chicago ranked 32nd in passing success rate and 29th in offensive success rate.
## Gardner Minshew II
Minshew has been ineffective since 2023; benched for Aidan O'Connell in Las Vegas after injury.
## J.J. McCarthy
McCarthy is Vikings' third-stringer with concussion history; on rookie deal for potential 2027 trade piece.
## Brandon Allen
Allen was with Giants this offseason but declined practice squad spot after roster cuts.
## Jimmy Garoppolo
Garoppolo would be free agent with minimal wear and tear; struggles outside San Francisco's system.
## Jameis Winston
Winston played solidly in two starts last year but is prone to negative plays and inconsistent performance.
## Key takeaway

Giants consider Jameis Winston as backup after Jaxson Dart's knee injury ends his season.
