## Google launches CC for families
Google introduced an updated version of CC, an AI agent designed to help families coordinate household tasks across email, calendar, chats, and task management tools.
## What CC can actually do
CC keeps families organized by planning daily schedules, signing permission slips, creating shopping lists, and planning weekly meal plans based on shared information.
## How families share with CC
Each family member chooses what to share with CC, like school emails or sports schedules. Users can forward messages to CC's email address or set up automatic sharing from specific senders.
## CC gets its own account
CC now has its own Google account so it can collaborate with up to six family members while maintaining separate permissions for accessing household data.
## Automating household calendars
CC tracks important dates and automatically adds them to shared calendars and task lists, like orthodontist appointments or teacher workdays announced via email.
## CC handles complex tasks
The agent can fill out permission slips, create shopping lists, plan meals, calculate drive times between activities, and create shared documents while asking for missing details as needed.
## Powered by Gemini
CC runs on its own isolated cloud computer powered by Gemini and Google's agentic system called Antigravity, ensuring data privacy for families.
## Limited access for now
CC is only available to U.S. users with personal Gmail accounts who are 18 and older, meaning teens and school email accounts cannot use it yet.
## How to get CC
Existing CC users will receive email invitations to upgrade in the coming days, while new users can join a waitlist to access the family-focused AI agent.
## Key takeaway

CC is an AI agent that connects to family emails and calendars to automate household coordination tasks like scheduling, meal planning, and permission slip filing.
